Life at the apartment
Whether you want active days on the Cetina or a completely slow escape by the sea — this apartment lets you shape every hour.
Wake up gently. Brew coffee in the fully equipped kitchen and step onto the terrace as the first rays hit the sea. The view stretches across the Adriatic toward the islands — unhurried, quiet, and entirely yours.
Stroll the stone streets of Omis old town, cool off at Velika Plaza sandy beach 3 km away, or head up the Cetina canyon for rafting, kayaking, or a scenic walk to Radmanove Mlinice for fresh grilled fish by the river.
Fire up the BBQ as the sky turns orange and pink over the horizon. Dinner outside, the jacuzzi bubbling, warm sea air — and no reason to be anywhere else.
The town
Sitting where the Cetina River cuts through mountains to meet the Adriatic, Omis is one of Croatia's most dramatic and underrated destinations — framed by cliffs, medieval fortresses, and some of the clearest water on the coast.
In the 12th and 13th centuries, the Kačić family pirates ruled the Adriatic from Omis to Dubrovnik — so feared that Pope Honorius III launched a crusade against them in 1221. Climb the medieval Mirabela or Fortica fortress for views that explain why they chose this spot.
One of Europe's most dramatic river canyons, protected for over 60 years. Raft through rapids, kayak calm stretches, zipline 700m at 150m height, or simply walk the riverside trail to the 16th-century Radman Mills — a location so beautiful it was used in the original Winnetou films.
Every summer, Omis hosts the Festival of Dalmatian Klapas — the world's most important gathering of this UNESCO-recognized a cappella tradition. The town also brings the pirate era to life with theatrical Pirate Nights in July and August.
Arrive, unpack, terrace lunch. Evening walk through Omis old town, climb Mirabela for sunset views.
Morning at Velika Plaza sandy beach. Afternoon Cetina canyon — rafting or zipline. Dinner at Radmanove Mlinice.
Fortica fortress in the morning. Late breakfast on the terrace. Slow afternoon by the sea, jacuzzi in the evening.
